Poppets, I need your help. I must fly to Orlando for my oldest daughter's college graduation. I'm considering using priceline.com. Have any of you used this service before? I'm trying to figure out if I make a bid and it's accepted, will our seats be together? I'd hate to purchase 3 seats and have poor Silas sitting off somewhere all alone.
I realize that this would be better suited to twitter, but I don't tweet soooo......
I await your wisdom.

I used priceline once and had a bad experience, although it was no fault of priceline. I couldn't get the time off work at the last minute and (because it was priceline) was unable to change the ticket. Not really the fault of priceline, just unfortunate timing.
The whole bidding thing freaks me out. You don't get to pick your seats OR the time you leave. I wouldn't chance it if you feel the need to sit next to Silas.
Start LOW. I bid 300 a night for a five star hotel, and found that many five star hotels have crappy rooms that go for 299 and I just bought one. Next time I'd start at 50 bucks and work my way up.
A friend of mine uses Priceline all the time, and she swears it's a great deal. She traveled all over the world. Of course, you do have no control over the times, and I don't know about the seat assignments, but I'm sure that if you're separated, once you get on board, you can ask people to move so you can sit together. Most people will have no problem accommodating you, cuz they know how it would feel. Wish I could give you a personal recommendation, but this is the best I've got.
Most airline passengers (take it from me) will trade seats for youngsters to sit with parents.
Now, that being said...I've never used priceline, so THAT part would scare me a bit.
I can proudly announce that...I have no wisdom at all on this subject, having never used priceline.com
However, I like to think that Silas would make friends, no matter where he sat.
ive never used priceline.. sorry..
